Returns and refunds

Made to order changes what a return can reasonably be. Here is exactly where we stand.

Last updated 1 September 2026

If it is faulty, misprinted or damaged

We replace it free of charge, and you do not need to send the original back. Email chat@ikenga.ng within 30 days of delivery with your order number and a photo showing the problem. Most replacements are in production the same day we see the photo.

This covers:

  • print or embroidery defects — cracking, misalignment, wrong colour
  • the wrong item, size or colour arriving
  • damage in transit
  • a garment fault such as a failed seam

If you change your mind

Every piece is made for you after you order it, so there is no stock to return it to. We do not offer change-of-mind returns as a matter of course — but we would rather you wore the thing than resented it, so write to us and we will look at it case by case. Where we do accept one, the piece must be unworn and unwashed, and return postage is yours.

The practical answer is to get the size right first: the size guide lists flat measurements for every size, and we will happily talk you through a fit before you buy.

Statutory rights

Nothing here limits your rights under the consumer law that applies where you live. In the EU and UK, the right to cancel a distance purchase within 14 days generally does not apply to goods made to a consumer’s specification or clearly personalised — which is what these are — but your rights in respect of faulty goods always apply, and we honour them.

Cancelling an order

Before production starts we can cancel and refund in full. Once production has started a garment exists that cannot be unmade, so cancellation is no longer possible. Production usually begins within a few hours of payment, so please write quickly.

How refunds are paid

A refund goes back to the original payment method — the same card, wallet or account you paid with. We cannot send it anywhere else. Once we issue it, banks typically take five to ten working days to show it. You get an email the moment it leaves our side.

Lost parcels

If tracking has not moved for ten working days, tell us. We open a case with the carrier and reship or refund — we do not leave you to argue with a courier over a parcel we sent.

Getting in touch

Write to the studio or email chat@ikenga.ng with your order number. A person reads it.
