Terms and conditions

The agreement between you and the studio when you place an order.

Last updated 1 September 2026

1. Who you are dealing with

This shop is operated by Ikenga, part of the ikenga.ng family of products. Contact: chat@ikenga.ng. Using the site or placing an order means you accept these terms.

2. Products and descriptions

We describe every piece as accurately as we can, including flat measurements. Colours vary between screens, and printed colour varies slightly between production runs; a difference in shade is not a fault. Garments are cut and sewn, so measurements carry a tolerance of around two centimetres.

3. Prices and currency

Prices are shown in the store currency and exclude import duties and local taxes, which your country may charge on delivery. We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order. If a price is listed in obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than honour it.

4. Orders and acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. The contract forms when we confirm payment by email. We may decline an order — for suspected fraud, an address we cannot ship to, or a product that is no longer available — and will refund anything taken.

5. Payment

Payment is taken by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details. Production only begins once the provider confirms the payment has cleared.

6. Made to order

Everything here is produced after you order it. Once production begins, an order cannot be cancelled or amended. See the returns policy for what happens if something is wrong, and for the limited circumstances in which we accept a return.

7. Delivery

Delivery estimates on the shipping page are estimates, not guarantees; carriers and customs are outside our control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. If a parcel goes missing in transit, we will reship or refund it.

8. Discount codes

Codes are valid for the period and on the terms stated, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be withdrawn at any time. Only one code applies per order, and we may cancel an order where a code has been obtained or used abusively.

9. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access. We may suspend an account that is being used fraudulently or abusively.

10. Intellectual property

The designs, drawings, photography, text and marks on this site belong to Ikenga. Buying a garment gives you the garment, not a licence to reproduce the artwork on it. Do not copy the designs for commercial use.

The cultural references behind these designs — Uli, Nsibidi, the ikenga figure — belong to the Igbo people and to no company. We claim only our own interpretations of them.

11. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, scrape it at volume, or use it to break the law. Legitimate security research is welcome — write to us first.

12. Liability

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law. Beyond that, our liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order is the one that governs it, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the studio is established, without affecting any mandatory consumer protection you have where you live.

15. Contact

Questions about these terms: write to the studio or email chat@ikenga.ng.
